There are many baby detergent products in the market today. Two of my most favorites are BabyGanics Loads of Love and Tide Free & Gentle Liquid Laundry Detergent. I’m absolutely impressed by how these two detergents can work in and out a fabric effectively without leaving detergent residues in my sons’ clothing. I’ve tried so many detergents before and these two are certainly worth paying for.
Babyganics is one of the United State’s leading organic cleaner’s manufacturers. From surface cleaners, hand sanitation products, diapering and soaps, this brand practically has it all. Babyganics’ Loads of Love Detergent is a liquid natural soap that contains naturally derived ingredients. It is 3x concentrated and works 3 times better than regular soaps. It is available in scented and scent-free for perfume sensitive children. BabyGanics is also available in HE washer.
If you want a good alternative to Dreft, Tide Free & Gentle Liquid Detergent should be your number one option. Tide Free & Gentle Liquid Detergent is hypoallergenic. It does not contain dyes or perfumes, which makes it safe for your child’s sensitive skin. Regular detergents have ingredients that may cause skin irritation. This detergent is dermatologist tested so you don’t need to worry about allergic reactions.
On the other hand, there are ingredients in Tide Free & Gentle Liquid detergent that poses threat to your baby’s health. Take a look at these ingredients below:
- Builders (Borax, Citric Acid, Diethylenetriamine Pentaacetate [sodium salt])
- Enzyme (Amylase and Protease)
- Optical Brightener, Polymer (Diquaternium Ethoxy Sulfate, Polyethyleneimine Ethoxylate)
- Process Aid (Calcium Formate, Dimethicone, Ethanolamine, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Formate, Water), and Surfactant (Alcoholethoxy Sulfate, Lauramine Oxide, Laureth-9, Linear Alkylbenzene sofonate)
All of these are chemical based, which may have health risks to your baby. Too much exposure to chemicals may cause serious growth development problems. This is the same reason why I have switched to using non-toxic detergents.
If you want a greener, healthier option for baby laundry, use might want to use eco-friendly cleaning products instead. Natural products such as BabyGanics, Seventh Generation and Mountain Green do not contain chemicals or toxins. They are perfectly safe to use for your baby as well as the environment.
