Sun & Earth Citrus Power Laundry Detergent Review

Sun & Earth Citrus Power Laundry Detergent is one of the cheapest baby detergent brands in the market today. This detergent is made from biodegradable natural ingredients. It is hypoallergenic and free of dyes, perfumes and petroleum based solvents. It is baby safe and effective to use in washing clothes, bedding and blankets. And the best part, Sun & Earth is budget-friendly.

If you have a limited budget, you might want to try using Sun & Earth. In today’s economy, every mom seeks ways to save a few bucks. Baby detergents, like Dreft and Ivory can be quite expensive. These products, though highly effective and recommendable, are not really practical. Pennywise mothers like me would certainly settle for something less popular, inexpensive, yet effective, than these conventional brands.

I was intrigued with Sun & Earth when I saw it in the grocery. It is definitely cheaper than other brands that I’ve been using. Plus, it’s a non-toxic, eco friendly detergent. I am very passionate in using green cleaning products. So, without second thought, I snagged a bottle and tried it.

Sun & Earth is a good buy. It cleans well and leaves a mild orange scent, which is perfect for babies with allergies to perfume. Nevertheless, it’s just another average detergent. I’m not overly dissatisfied with its performance. However, I’ve used more effective detergents than this one.

Sun & Earth does not sud up even after the washer starts to agitate. You might still need to add a few more cups to see actual bubbles. Also, this product is only good to use on clothes that are not heavily soiled. If you’re dealing with really dirty clothes or cloth diapers, use stronger detergents. It may cost you more but it can get the work done in one or two cycles. This detergent also does not rinse well. You have to repeat the cycle till the water clears.

On the bright side, there are affordable non-toxic, green cleaning detergent brands that are baby safe and effective. Some of my favorite natural baby detergent brands are BabyGanics, Mountain Green, Ecos Laundry Detergent and Mrs. Meyers Baby Detergents. These products are budget-friendly, hypoallergenic, and clean stains almost instantly.

Households with children may use their washing machines every day, ergo they will be big users of detergent and fabric conditioners. And it’s not a huge mental leap to say they also eat a lot of food. If they’ve got babies, they’re going to be using a lot of diapers. And the kids are probably going to eat a lot of confectionary, and they’ll be using a lot of soap and shampoo.
